Leopold Conservation Award Match

A generous Sand County Foundation donor who believes strongly in the conservation impact of our Leopold Conservation Award program nationally has committed to match up to $100,000 of new or enhanced donations to the program from now until the end of 2026! 

Every new or increased gift or pledge to the Leopold Conservation Award program will be matched dollar-for-dollar to strengthen the award program and our natural resources. 

This matching opportunity allows the Leopold Conservation Award program to strengthen and sustain its impact for years to come.

 

How will my gift be used?

Contributions will directly support the Leopold Conservation Award program in your state and nationally to:

 

  • Sustain high quality state programs to advance conservation-minded land management
  • Recognize outstanding land stewardship to scale up conservation adoption among other landowners
  • Provide conservation and engagement opportunities for our Leopold Conservation Award alumni network

 

How does the matching opportunity work?

 

Your new or increased gift will be matched dollar for dollar for one, two, or three years!

 

For example:

  • A new or increased commitment of $1,000 per year for 3 years becomes a total $6,000 investment in the program through the match.
  • A monthly gift of $100 becomes $7,200 in total impact over three years.

Will a multi year pledge or reoccurring gift be matched?

Is my contribution tax deductible?
