A generous Sand County Foundation donor who believes strongly in the conservation impact of our Leopold Conservation Award has committed to match up to $100,000 in new or increased gifts to the program through the end of 2026! 

That means every new or increased gift or pledge will be matched dollar-for-dollar, doubling its impact for land, water, wildlife, and the ranchers and farmers who care for them. 

This is a powerful opportunity to strengthen the Leopold Conservation Award program now, and sustain its impact for year to come.  

How will my gift be used?

Contributions will directly support the Leopold Conservation Award program in your state and nationally to:

• Sustain high quality state programs to advance conservation-minded land management
• Recognize outstanding land stewardship to scale up conservation adoption among other landowners
• Provide engagement and conservation opportunities for our Leopold Conservation Award alumni network

How does the matching opportunity work?

Your new or increased gift will be matched dollar for dollar for one, two, or three years! 

For example:

• A new or increased commitment of $1,000 per year for 3 years becomes a total $6,000 investment in the program through the match.
• A monthly gift of $100 becomes $7,200 in total impact over three years.

Will a multi year pledge or reoccurring gift be matched? Yes, for up to three years. Select an annually reoccurring gift on our website when you make a gift online. Contact Lance Irving to make a multi-year pledge if sending your gift by mail.
