Join a peer-to-peer farming group to achieve your farming and sustainability goals.
The peer-to-peer historically underserved farmer cohort is a group of farmers who come together to share knowledge, experience, and resources with each other in order to improve their farming practices and business skills. It is free and will be hosted by a regional coordinator from Sand County Foundation.
The goal of the peer-to-peer historically underserved farmer cohort is to help farmers improve their productivity, profitability, and sustainability through shared learning and collaboration. Participants have the opportunity to learn from experts and peer leaders, in addition to learning about financial and technical assistance programs offered by the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS).
* Take part in a Wiregrass region cohort of farmers to learn from each other in a collaborative and supportive environment.
* Engage in quarterly cohort workshops and regional farm tours.
* Participate in conservation-focused webinars.
* Receive guidance on the Farm Service Agency (FSA) and NRCS application process, programs, and opportunities.
